Non-Believers Acquire Mental Health. God’s Love Encompasses Each Human Being

Many believers think God condemns non-believers to Hell. That idea is light-years from the truth.

God yearns for non-believers to savor mental health. Here’s conclusive Biblical proof gleaned from the Biblical Hebrew. In the Garden of Eden, God expounded on Adam and Eve’s life purpose: socialization, rulership, and how to conduct themselves by exercising their free will to reason and decide.  These are the five fundamentals of consciousness that you and I exert every second of every day of our lives.

I want to Uncover the Nakedness Mystery

In the last chapter, we saw that all humans are subject to internal and external influences on their minds. How we manage our minds and these influences is the crux of mental health. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden Tree, they had a mind-makeover; they transformed into non-believers. Instead of believing God’s Word, they switched to their own wisdom. That’s the definition of a non-believer. In spite of that, God did not abandon them.

Clothed in Coats of Skins

A strange event occurs immediately before the couple’s expulsion from the Garden of Eden. The narrative turns to clothing; why? The figurative profoundness of Biblical Hebrew reveals God’s love for all humankind, regardless of belief, race, gender, or any other criteria. He’s concerned with the mental health of all non-believers.

At the beginning of Agony of Humankind, we discussed clothing in the context of the man’s and the woman’s nakedness. Please revise the information at the link.  To summarize,  the figurative usage of clothing is dirty and clean clothing represents sinful and righteous living.

Clothing Represents the State of Mind – Mental Health

Figuratively, clothing points us to a frame of mind coupled with a way of acting—behavior. God made Adam and Eve, non-believers, coats (H3801)—to protect their minds adapted to their new sinful way of thinking.

In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul refers to upper clothing: “…having on the breastplate of righteousness” (Ephesians 6:14). God dresses non-believers in protective garments.

Think about this historic moment: the commencement of a new civilization. They’d just sinned and needed new clothing to survive in their unfamiliar world.

Adam and Eve needed the know-how, the rules to be able to play and win at socialization and rulership, and mental health, in their NEW LOCATION, Eden.

God’s Clothing is “Nakedness in Blindness”

In the Garden of Eden, God’s dwelling, God’s SPIRITUAL rules apply. However, in Eden, and especially beyond, where Cain would go and where we are today, different rules apply. Why? because the Serpent is the god of this world. Please understand what I’m about to say.

God does NOT expect people, NOT devoted to His way of life, to live by the rules for the Garden of Eden! Adam and Eve sinned and hid themselves from God and His way; they represent the world population today. God has a code of ethics for non-believers, those who are NOT Godly, and it is less stringent. God does NOT expect as much from non-believers as from His spiritual followers.

Adam and Eve moved from a GODLY plane in the Garden to a HUMAN plane in this world. They were downgrading, moving backward. God did not expect as much from them in this new world. Oh yes, God expected something, as the clothing represents, but it is not the breastplate of righteousness, indicated by Paul, that true Godly believers are to don.

Here’s a more profound figurative meaning of skins in the Biblical Hebrew.

Do you see the irony and the paradox here? God clothes them with skins (H5785), which comes from the word nakedness (H5783). Initially, they were naked; they put on fig leaves, and now God returns them to nakedness! This second state of nakedness is not the same as in the Garden of Eden. But it does mean a type of proper HUMAN WISDOM; that is the irony. I will elaborate on this in future chapters. God dressed non-believers with the PROPER WAY OF LIVING in the new world to avoid mental illness.

The paradox is that dressing in skins is also equivalent to putting on BLINDNESS (H5786). All four of the Biblical Hebrew words (H5783-H5787) have the IDENTICAL Hebrew root (the 6th key to master Biblical Hebrew). Do you see the story this root tells (the 7th rule)? H5787 is also FIGURATIVE. God dressed Adam and Eve with spiritual BLINDNESS. Many New Testament verses attest to this. “God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see” (Romans 11:8).

Given their diminished mental state, which characterized Adam and Eve, and all of humankind now, God gave them NEW and DIFFERENT rules based of their spiritual blindness. Non-believers received a new code of ethics based on their human wisdom.

God clothed Adam and Eve; figuratively, this is instruction on how to lead their lives in the new world correctly (nakedness) and maintain mental health as non-believers (blindness).

Who are these Coats of Skins For?

Adam and Eve represent non-believers who move into a new era in Eden. Later, Cain, along with the entirety of humanity, is sent out of Eden into “this world.” The coats of skins are for non-believers. They represent the new rules of life. The Bible doesn’t use the term rules. Instead, we find vocabulary like laws, commandments, judgments, and statutes.

1. Cain had commandments (Gen. 4:5-7).
2. During Noah’s days, God “saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth (Gen. 6:5). The population had put off the coats of skins. There’s similar wickedness in Sodom (Gen. 13:13).

Old Testament Israel was a WORLDLY nation

God chose the people of Israel, descendants of Abraham, as a special people. But what most Bible readers know, but don’t consider, is they were just as DISobedient as any other nation. They are the prime example of non-believers, being blind and clothed in coats of skins:

1. At the Exodus, God officialized the Ten Commandments for the nation of Israel AND all the non-Israelites that accompanied them on departure from Egypt. This latter observation means the Commandments are for ALL people.
2. In Deuteronomy, God “updated” the law for their new environment in the Promised Land.

These commandments represent the coat of skins that a REBELLIOUS nation was to follow to be under the protection of God and benefit from His blessings including mental health. Today, that SAME clothing is valid for Israel’s descendants and the entire world.

God wants His UNconverted nation to maintain a balanced spiritual and physical life. The inhabitants are to recognize and respect His commandments regarding socialization and rulership which I will expand on.
